HAC joined the "2015 Legal Service Week of Legal Service Group Stationed in Foreign Trade Pre-warning Demonstration Sites (for urban residents only)" on August 11, 2015, which was organized by Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce (HMBC). It was an event joined by nearly 60 people, including Deputy Director Zhu Ying and Deputy Consultant Wang Jianhao from Trade Remedy Investigation Bureau of the Department of Commerce, a lawyers’ mission for the Legal Service Month activities, enterprises involved in the international trade remedy investigation cases over the past years, the principal of the pre-warning units, and representatives of relevant enterprises. Zhao Liang, Deputy Secretary General of HAC, and Ms. Li Xuanle, Vice President of Hangzhou International Arbitration Court (HIAC), also attended the event. Deng Jian, Deputy Director of HMBC, presided over the event.

This evnet aimed to provide foreign-related legal consultation and services to address issues like trade frictions, trade technical barriers, intellectual property rights, mediation and arbitration of international trade disputes and other aspects for "foreign trade pre-warning demonstration sites" and enterprises, so as to enable them to actively respond to international trade remedy investigations

Zhao Liang, Deputy Secretary General, answered questions from some foreign-related enterprises, and stressed that HAC would adhere to the idea of "serving in arbitration" to help enterprises cope with issues like international trade frictions and technical barriers. At the same time, HIAC will organized more seminars, lectures, consultation services, training courses and other activities to help foreign-trade enterprises sharpen their awareness of risk prevention by legal means, and help them actively respond to trade frictions and other trade disputes. In addition, HIAC will strengthen the coordination with relevant departments, establish an information exchange mechanism with foreign-trade enterprises in the support of industrial societies, and jointly build a foreign-related arbitration legal service platform with foreign-related departments and enterprises, so as to achieve effective connection and provide better legal service.

Afterwards HIAC will be striving to normalize and score long-term effectiveness of its arbitration service, be more service-oriented, seek new approaches and promote the implementation of new arbitration service measures, which all could help improve the quality of legal service for foreign-related arbitration and maintain the foreign economic and trade prosperity in our city.
