Dr. Chen Jian, Vice Secretary General of CAAL visited Hangzhou Arbitration Commission (HAC) in the afternoon of July 19, 2018. Ms. Li Xuanle, Vice President of Hangzhou International Arbitration Court (HIAC), and her colleagues Wei Ting and Yi Jingwen attended the meeting.

Li welcomed Chen Jian’s visit and introduced him the development of HAC and HIAC. They focused on the trial of the internet dispute resolution, the difficulties in the proof and inquire, and the new progress in blockchain evidences. The two sides also discussed the way to cooperate between HAC and CAAL in foreign-related arbitration, the formulation of international arbitration rules, and the publicity and development of HIAC, in which Chen provided his opinions and suggestions.

Both parties agreed that it was a good time for the city to develop arbitration, and hoped HAC and CAAL might be able to have more exchanges and cooperation in the future, give full play to the role in domestic arbitration to complement each other, and make new progress in international arbitration in particular. The two sides also had further discussions and reached a consensus on the specific fields and models for cooperation.
