The Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA) was established in 1965 under the Societies Registration Act. It is India's largest national arbitration commission. ICA is a non-profit service organization whose function is to promote the use of arbitration to resolve business and trade disputes quickly and amicably. ICA was established by the Indian government and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Its members include important chambers of commerce and trade organizations as well as export promotion associations, public sector companies, companies and firms. ICA also facilitates the resolution of international commercial disputes.
